Cricket Wireless provides wireless services to millions of customers in the United States. Cricket, known formally as Cricket Communications, Inc is a subsidiary of Leap Wireless which is the seventh largest wireless network behind AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS and US Cellular.


Customers of Cricket Wireless are covered in about 95% of the US using CDMA agreements with Sprint Nextel and MetroPCS among others. The 3G service is known to use Sprint’s EVDO network. As of recently, Cricket Wireless is featuring smartphone devices (including Android OS) that run on Crickets 3G network with no contracts, or no credit checks. They periodically offer sales in specific markets on the sale of the devices used on their network including the Samsung Indulge, the Huawei Ascend II and the Blackberry Curve. Muve Music

Cricket offers a service called Muve Music which allows you to browse and download countless number of songs. There are contracts with Universal, Sony, Warner and EMI to receive access to their inventory, and with these types of plans, you receive in addition, unlimited talk, web, text and music downloads. These plans generally run at $55 per month.

The wireless plans for Cricket vary slightly based on location. Generally, they have 3 different types of plans to choose from. Mobile Plans, Smartphone Plans and Muve Music plans. For their smartphone offerings, the cost is generally at $55 per month which includes unlimited talk, text, web and data on the Sprint network.
