Key Observations

Android 4.4 is the Kit Kat variety of the Android OS. As of Oct 2014 it is the most recent version of Android, with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) coming very soon. There are no details as to whether this will be updated with Lollipop when it becomes available.

The LG Ultimate 2 runs on CDMA networks. This means that whichever non contract provider you choose, you will likely have to use this phone on either the Verizon or Sprint CDMA networks. CDMA is the most popular type of network in the US. But be aware that the other major technology called GSM is the most popular elsewhere in the world. Therefore if you travel internationally, using this model may be problematic.

Processor, Memory and Storage
The LG Ultimate 2 has a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor with 1 GB of RAM. It should provide plenty of power to run the majority of apps you run across from the included Google Play Store. And with 4GB of storage space, there is plenty of room to store your music, images and other files as well as a Micro SD card slot if you wish to expand space up to 32 GB

The LG Ultimate 2 comes at an impressive 4.5 diagonal screen size. This is larger than all iPhones except for the most recent iPhone 6 models, and comparable to the popular Moto G.
The LG41C has a 2100 mAh Battery which lists having 12 hours of talk time/9 days of standby time. The battery is removable in case of problems in the future.

The L41C is bound to become a popular model into 2015. This model combines some impressive specs with an inexpensive price tag. The only fault for some is the use of CDMA instead of GSM. Despite this fact, the LG Ultimate 2 will make a great starter smartphone, or even a great phone for everyday use.
